The Canterbury Rings

In 2017 a small group of keen local walkers decided to create a series of new walking trails in and around Canterbury. With the help of several generous donors we raise some funds and, assisted by our KCC footpaths officer Louise Adams we designed the routes. Surveying the paths and ensuring safe and interesting routes through the local countryside was a lot of fun. It was even more exciting when the three metal green signposts went in and the trails way marked. The Canterbury Rings were opened in 2019 just in time for Covid and lockdowns. The Rings proved to be a godsend for local people to use during the pandemic and have continued to be well walked and are now, an important local asset. We do hope you have as much enjoyment in following the trails as we had in making them.
